Carrie Prejean showed up Monday on something called Focus on the Family and explained to evangelist James Dobson what was really going on behind-the-scenes at the Miss USA contest when she got hit with the big question.
She says the same-sex marriage question was no less than the work of the devil. That would make Perez Hilton no less than an agent of Satan.
Prejean told Dobson that the question was an attempt to try and tempt her to disown traditional marriage - or what she refers to as "opposite" marriage.
Her struggle with Satanic temptations during the Miss USA contest notwithstanding, Prejean isn't exactly a paragon of Christian virtue. But she hasn't allowed that minor detail to get in the way of her crusading efforts on behalf of traditional marriage.
Semi-nude pics have surfaced (and continue to surface) - pics she lied about because they could have proved a liability. This hasn't stopped her from presenting herself as the Christian family values gal.

Doesn't Satan have anything better to do with his time than hang around at a cheesy beauty contest in order get Miss California to betray her family conditioning? After all she didn't say she was opposed to same-sex marriage because she thought it through and reached that conclusion, she said she was opposed to same-sex marriage because of how she was raised. Yes well, people are raised to do and believe many things that are wrong or even wildly wrong and bringing "Satan" into it is beside the point. People do a great job at deluding themselves.

Dobson: Why did you give the answer you did with regard to the affirmation of marriage?
Prejean:... I felt as though Satan was trying to tempt me in asking me this question. And then God was in my head and in my heart saying, "Do not compromise this. You need to stand up for me and you need to share with all these people . . . you need to witness to them and you need to show that you're not willing to compromise that for this title of Miss USA."
